Yes. Going from a long-time family home to a smaller apartment or assisted living unit takes patience and care. Our crews are trained for these moves and we coordinate carefully with the family on what stays, what goes to storage, and what gets donated.
Can adult children manage the move from out of town?+
Absolutely. We work directly with whichever family member is coordinating - phone, email, or text. Quote, scheduling, walkthroughs, payment, and updates can all happen remotely.
Do you work with specific Kansas City assisted living communities?+
Yes - we move into and out of most major Johnson County, Jackson County, and Clay County communities. Tell us where the new home is and we will confirm we know the loading dock, move-in hours, and COI requirements.
What about furniture assembly and setup at the new place?+
Included as part of the move. Beds re-assembled, dressers placed, lamps connected, TVs set in their stand. We don't leave until your parent's new space looks like a livable home.
Can you help with donating or hauling away items that aren't moving?+
Yes. We offer junk removal and donation hauling as add-on services - perfect for downsizing moves where 40 years of stuff isn't making the trip.
Is there a senior discount?+
We don't do gimmicky discounts that we just bake into a higher rate, but we do offer fair weekday pricing for senior moves and will work with you on a multi-day approach if downsizing is happening in stages. Just ask when you call.
