Pricing FAQs

How much do movers cost in Kansas City?+

Little Fellas Moving charges $150/hour for 2 movers + 1 truck with a 3-hour minimum ($450 minimum). Larger crews are $200/hr for 3 movers, $250/hr for 4 movers, $300/hr for 5 movers. There are no fuel fees, no travel fees within the metro, and no surcharges for stairs or heavy items.

What is the average cost of a local move in Kansas City?+

For a 2-3 bedroom KC home, expect $900-$1,400 with our standard 3-mover crew. 4-bedroom homes typically run $1,500-$2,000. Apartment moves usually hit the 3-hour minimum at $450 and rarely exceed $1,000.

Do you charge extra for stairs, long carries, or heavy items?+

No. The hourly rate covers everything. Stairs, long driveways, heavy appliances (within reason) - all included. Specialty items like pianos, gun safes over 500 lbs, or pool tables may need a custom quote, but we tell you upfront.

Is there a fuel surcharge or travel fee?+

No fuel fees and no travel fees within the Kansas City metro (about a 30-mile radius from downtown KC). Moves outside that radius may have a small travel charge - we tell you the exact amount before booking.

How is long-distance pricing different?+

Long-distance moves (anything over 100 miles or out of state) are quoted as flat-rate instead of hourly. The flat rate is based on inventory, distance, and date. We send you the final price in writing before booking - no bait-and-switch.

Do you offer discounts?+

Yes - we offer $25 off for first-time customers who book online, 10% off for returning customers, and military / senior discounts on request. We also run a referral program: refer a friend, you get $50 cash.

How can I lower my moving cost?+

Three tips: (1) Pack everything yourself before move day - boxes ready, taped, and labeled. (2) Book a weekday move (Mon-Thu) when possible - same rate, but less waiting at apartment elevators. (3) Move during off-peak season (October through February) - we have more crew availability so jobs flow faster.
