Office Moving FAQs

How much does it cost to move an office in Kansas City?+

Office moves are quoted individually because volume, IT complexity, and after-hours scheduling all affect cost. As a rough guide: small office moves (under 15 desks) run $1,500-$4,000. Mid-size (15-50 desks) run $4,000-$12,000. Large multi-floor moves run $12,000+. We provide written quotes after a free site walkthrough.

Can you move our office on a weekend or after hours?+

Yes - and most Kansas City office moves happen exactly that way. Friday evening, all-day Saturday, or a full weekend move keeps your business running with zero downtime. We plan the move so your team walks into a fully-set-up new office Monday morning.

Do you handle IT equipment and server room moves?+

Yes. Workstations, monitors, printers, copiers, network racks, and servers are all handled by our commercial crews. We coordinate with your IT team on power-down and power-up sequencing. For very complex data centers, we may work alongside your IT vendor.

Can you disassemble and reassemble cubicles?+

Yes. Cubicle systems (Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, and generic panel systems) are routine for us. Bring us your existing layout and your new floor plan and we'll handle the swap.

How much lead time do you need for a Kansas City office move?+

For small offices (under 15 people), 2-3 weeks is usually enough. For mid-size (15-50), plan on 4-6 weeks. Large multi-floor moves ideally have 8-12 weeks lead time for proper phasing. Rush jobs are possible but the more lead time you give us, the smoother the move.

Do you provide Certificates of Insurance for our building?+

Yes. Building COIs are provided at no extra charge. Send us the requirements from your building management (dollar amounts, additional insureds, etc.) and we'll issue matching COIs for both origin and destination buildings.

What if we're downsizing and need to get rid of old furniture?+

We can combine the office move with a cleanout service - old cubicles, chairs, desks, and files removed and disposed of responsibly. Combined pricing is typically cheaper than hiring separately.

Do you serve office parks across the KC metro?+

Yes - Downtown KC, Crown Center, Country Club Plaza, Corporate Woods (Overland Park), College Boulevard, Sprint Campus area, downtown Lee's Summit, downtown Olathe, and every suburban business park across the metro.
